Spatial Works
Constructing space through calligraphy.
A group of installation works conceived to exist within exhibition spaces. Employing distinctive materials such as bamboo and shifu paper, they explore expressions that structure the entirety of space.

Venue: Gallery Haneusagi (Kyoto, Japan)
— Exhibited as a solo presentation, the work was developed in accordance with the exhibition site, extending its spatial configuration and thematic concerns in relation to the venue. The installation employed 29 bamboo poles, onto which characters had been inscribed by solar scorching. As time elapsed, the inscriptions inevitably vanished, embodying the transience of writing itself.

— Twenty shifu works, inspired by Zen phrases, were brought into dialogue with the temple space, shaping an environment suffused with tranquility.

Venue: Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art (Hyogo, Japan)
— A large-scale solo exhibition commemorating the artist’s tenth anniversary, bringing together a wide range of her calligraphic works.

Forest of Calligraphy
An installation inspired by The Pillow Book, in which the walls and ceiling of the museum were covered with shifu paper to create an immersive calligraphic environment.
This section also included earlier works such as bamboo pieces and folding screens from the collection of Myōshin-ji Temple.

Hall of Myōshin-ji Works
A selection of 20 shifu works first exhibited in September 2008 at Rinka-in, Myōshin-ji Temple, Kyoto.
Hall of Future Works
Seventeen experimental works were created for the Tenth Anniversary Exhibition as part of a new direction, including original designs such as shirts and Arita porcelain.

— Represented Japan in an international letter arts exchange exhibition.
This work explores the expressive potential of ink by calibrating its tonal spectrum into one hundred distinct gradations. Through meticulous control of density and shade, the composition investigates the subtle interplay of light and depth inherent in sumi ink.
